Dr. Ricciardi is ABIM board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology and is a fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI).

NorthShore Interventional Cardiology
Our cardiology group is active in all aspects of clinical and investigational coronary and structural valve therapies and has as a foundation a very rich tradition of innovation, clinical research and early adoption of new device therapies and advanced techniques. With a dedicated interventional research component within the NorthShore CVI Research Unit, there are vast resources for investigation and collaboration. In 2020-2021, the group will perform approximately 1500 PCI, hundreds of complex PCI, several hundred transcatheter valve interventions and many other structural interventions including ASD/PFO closure, alcohol septal ablation and a large number of left atrial appendage closure procedures (in collaboration with EP). As a major teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, the cardiology division has ongoing CME approved cardiology lectures throughout the week. The interventional section runs the weekly CME accredited cardiac catheterization conference series where didactic and case based topics are covered to complete a broad and deep review of the topics of the day. In addition, there is a monthly interventional cardiology fellows lecture series geared toward the interventional fellow. The interventional faculty are all exceedingly proficient technically and have outstanding educational and research credentials to round out the clinical and academic missions of the interventional cardiology section.
