Community

NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) recognizes that the more we and the community connect, the stronger and healthier both will become. We believe that in order to truly care for the communities we serve, we must have clear understanding of community health needs and issues. And this means reaching out and getting involved in our communities.

Through community assessments, participation in local agencies, employee volunteer efforts and involvement in civic and social service organizations, we strive to identify and address health needs and outreach opportunities. Then, partnering with diverse community stakeholders, we work to develop programs and initiatives that advance our mission "to preserve and improve human life."

NorthShore is only one of the partners integral to improving the health of the communities we serve and we are indebted to the many community partners that facilitate and enable the delivery of care and services. In this section, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about some of the programs and events that we’ve developed for you, all of which help facilitate and enable the delivery of high-quality care and services. We are privileged to serve our communities and we continue, with our many partners, to work towards a stronger and healthier community each and every day.
