Preceptor Profiles
George Carro is the Senior Director of Oncology Pharmacy Services and the Director of Oncology Research at NorthShore University HelathSystem. He oversees all aspects of the oncology pharmacy services, and oncology research operations across all 3 NorthShore sites. He started the oncology residency program at Evanston Hospital and is the program director. George attended the University Of Illinois College Of Pharmacy, received an MS from DePaul University, and is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP). He is also involved in oncology research and has served as the Eastern Coopertive Oncology Group Pharmacy Chair for several years. George is passionate about providing proper pain management and antiemetic therapy in cancer patients.
Abigail Harper is an Oncology Pharmacy Manager at the Kellogg Cancer Centers. She provides clinical services, assists with performance improvement projects and performs statistical analyses. Abigail received her PharmD from the University of Michigan and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. She completed her PGY2 oncology specialty residency at the Kellogg Cancer Centers at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP).
Wendy Hui is a Clinical Oncology Specialist at the Kellogg Cancer Centers (KCC) at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She provides clinical services, precepts the PGY2 oncology pharmacy resident, PGY1 pharmacy and community practice residents, and 4th year pharmacy students on rotation at KCC. She also serves as the PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency program coordinator. She is involved with performance improvement projects as well. Wendy received her PharmD from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and completed an oncology pharmacy residency at NorthShore. She is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP).
Anna Palafox is a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at the Kellogg Cancer Center at Evanston Hospital. In addition to providing clinical services, she coordinates pharmacy students’ experiences at the Kellogg Pharmacy and assists with performance improvement projects. Anna is one of the preceptors for the oncology rotation. She received her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Evanston Hospital.
Bill Uhlig is a Senior Clinical Oncology Specialist at the Kellogg Cancer Center at Evanston Hospital. He provides clinical services as well as manages all investigational study protocols across all 3 NorthShore Kellogg sites. Bill is also the pharmacist on the Bone Marrow Transplant team. He attended the University of Illinois College Of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP).
