Biography
Dr. Lanier is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at NorthShore University HealthSystem focusing on hand and wrist surgery. He received undergraduate degrees in biology and philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from Stony Brook University in New York. He then completed the integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Lanier went on to advanced subspecialty training in hand surgery, completing the Washington University Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship in St. Louis.
Dr. Lanier has made significant contributions as a researcher, authoring numerous scientific manuscripts as well as multiple textbook chapters on topics in hand and upper extremity surgery. He continues to strive to advance the specialty of hand surgery through research and education.
Dr. Lanier’s practice focuses on hand and wrist surgery. His areas of expertise include:
