Biography

Dr. Mark Sisco is Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at NorthShore and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. An honors graduate of both Columbia University and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Sisco went on to do his general surgery and plastic surgery training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He then completed advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

An avid researcher as well as a clinician, Dr. Sisco has performed pioneering laboratory research on scar formation and healing. He has published many articles on various aspects of plastic surgery and edited a widely-used textbook for plastic surgery trainees.

Dr. Sisco’s practice focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, aesthetic surgery of the face, body contouring, and complex reconstructive surgery. An accomplished artist, Dr. Sisco strives to merge an aesthetic sensibility with technical finesse to achieve natural and harmonious results.

Dr. Sisco’s areas of expertise include:

  • Aesthetic facial surgery (face, neck, eyelids, nose, ear)
  • Aesthetic breast surgery (enhancement, lifting, and reduction)

  • Breast reconstruction after cancer (DIEP/SIEA flaps, oncoplastic surgery, implants)
