Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

For Better Upper Arm Definition
Reasons for Considering an Arm Lift
If you have unsightly sagging skin on your upper arms due to aging, genetics, or weight loss.

Procedure Description
An arm lift procedure reduces or eliminate excess skin from your upper arms. In order to remove the unwanted skin, an incision is required that runs from near the elbow into the armpit. Your incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm toward your back), but some scarring will always be visible.

  • Anesthesia: Local or general

Recovery Process and Final Result

  • Swelling: After surgery, your upper arms are either wrapped or placed in an elastic sleeve to reduce swelling. Initial healing usually occurs in ten to fourteen days. Your swelling and bruising gradually disappear over three to four weeks. All swelling is gone in three to six months.
  • Scarring: Your scars fade in six to twenty-four months, depending on your skin.

Other Options For Your Consideration
An additional procedure that may enhance your results is liposuction of the upper arms or chest.
