Pathology Observerships

For individuals looking to gain experience in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in anticipation of applying for a pathology residency, NorthShore offers two-week observerships in our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. A typical observer would spend time in multiple areas to get as broad of an exposure as possible to the rotations pathology residents complete, including surgical pathology, autopsy pathology, microbiology, blood bank and others.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certification) and be planning to apply for a residency in Pathology in the next application cycle.

Application Process

Applications for the 2023-2024 academic year will be accepted until May 31, 2023.
