Welcome to ‘Staches for NorthShore! Throughout the month of November, NorthShore aims to create awareness about men’s health and their cancer risk as well as raise funds for NorthShore’s Kellogg Cancer Center.
We are using blue mustaches to draw attention to the fact that men need to be aware of their health. Just because you look good, doesn’t mean your health looks good too. Annual exams are important to keep you healthy and to prevent illnesses like cancer.

Growing into the Community: Barbershop Competition & Food Truck Fridays
NorthShore University HealthSystem will be hosting our first-ever Barbershop Competition in Evanston Fountain Square, South Plaza on Tuesday, November 12th (on the corners of Davis, Sherman and Orrington Ave.) from Noon to 1 p.m.
Barbers from Avenue Hair, Reese’s Barber Studio and Floyd’s 99 Barbershop will be participating. An hour-long competition from Noon - 1 p.m., barbers will be judged on their model’s overall look.

Join us for Food Truck Fridays at our hospital locations in November! 10% of proceeds will be donated back to Kellogg Cancer Center.
- Skokie Hospital: Friday, 11/1, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find the truck on Payne Street – between the Emergency Room and ACC bridge.
- Evanston Hospital: Friday, 11/8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find the truck on the East side of the parking garage – there’s a roundabout just outside of the main entrance.
- Glenbrook Hospital: Friday, 11/15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find the truck outside of the Healing Garden doors in front of administration.
- Highland Park Hospital: Friday, 11/22, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find the truck outside of the Women’s Hospital entrance.
