Karen Jackson, MD
Conditions: Urticaria (Hives); Allergic Rhinitis; Asthma; Food Allergy; Drug Allergy
Practice Philosophy: My interest in allergy began years ago as an allergy and asthma patient. The perspective I have gained as a patient has been instrumental to my practice as a physician. I feel it is critical to take the time to listen to my patients, as well as educating them regarding their diagnosis and treatment options. I find this knowledge empowers patients to be active participants in their own care. Working together, I am able to determine treatment options with which my patients are most likely to be compliant. Practicing this way allows me to improve the quality of life of my patients at home, school and work. In addition, I find great satisfaction in working with athletes of all levels to get them back to their peak performance.
