CT Scan

CT scans use x-ray technology and computers to produce multiple images of the inside of the body. NorthShore University HealthSystem radiologists use these cross-sectional images to diagnose and treat diseases or injuries. This non-invasive test can be used to examine internal organs such as the heart, bones, soft tissue and blood vessels. The image produced by CT provides more detail than a traditional x-ray.
