If you’re feeling ill but can’t bear the thought of braving sub-zero temperatures to get to a doctor’s office, you may want to consider charging up your laptop.

For people with non-emergency conditions, such as sinus issues or urinary tract infections, NorthShore’s electronic visit (eVisit) service can help you receive care without leaving the warmth and safety of your home. You can expect a response from a physician or clinician within four hours.

An eVisit may be appropriate if you have:
•    Sinus issues
•    Cold/cough
•    Red eyes
•    Fatigue
•    Urinary tract infection
•    Diarrhea
•    Back pain
•    Headache
•    Vaginal discharge
•    Heartburn

You can initiate an eVisit in the following ways:
•    Visit www.northshore.org/immediatecare-options and click schedule an eVisit.
•    Sign up or Log-in to NorthShoreConnect via the app or web portal.

eVisits are $15 for NorthShore employees and their families, or $35 for the public. If you are referred to a doctor's office, you are refunded the fee.

A NorthShoreConnect account is required to schedule an eVisit.
