New Virtual Bariatric Support Group

Bariatric Information Session (sometimes referred to as a Bariatric Seminar): At this time, since we cannot meet in person, there is a pre-recorded Bariatric Information Session (18 minutes) that discusses the different surgeries we offer here at North Shore. We introduce you to our team, discuss a bit about the pre-op process and what to expect, as you work toward your goal of having Bariatric Surgery. Watching this before your Bariatric consultation appointment may be helpful. This presentation is directed towards the new patient and their significant others, as you determine if bariatric surgery is the next step in your weight loss journey. You may view this video at any time.

We are offering an opportunity to have a Bariatric Information Session Question & Answer Session, via ZOOM, with one of our surgeons, for those who are interested in having bariatric surgery. This is much like the Q & A session that would occur, after the Information Session. So please watch the 18 min recording, first, so you can bring your specific questions to the ZOOM session. This is meant to supplement the Information Session. The Bariatric Q & A sessions will occur on the 3rd Tuesdays of every month from 6 – 7 pm. This presentation is directed towards the new patient and their significant others, as you determine if bariatric surgery is the next step in your weight loss journey.

Bariatric Support Group: For those patients who have already had Bariatric Surgery, we host a Bariatric Support Group twice a month – Frist Monday of the month and the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7-8 pm.

Those who have not had surgery yet, may attend, as an educational opportunity, however, this is a post-op support group. So it will be geared to the needs of the post-op bariatric surgery patient.
