Dr Michelson consistently listens to both my son and I & thoroughly explains her treatment plan
Dr Michelson was excellent. Very stressful situation that was quite fresh. She went over and above on time and patience, allowing us to leave feeling much safer around my daughters condition.
Dr Michelson treats [patient] like the decision maker of her health choices. It's empowering to my child. Dr M answers questions thoughtfully in an age appropriate manner.
Dr Michelson is an excellent physician. She listens, explains & guides treatment decisions thoughtfully & empathically. I couldn't ask for a better provider.
Excellent!!
Responses from a doctor such as saying well we may never know what causes the headaches or it's normal to be dizzy when you stand up are not acceptable answers when a 13 year old has been dizzy and had a non functioning headache for a week
Looks like she does not have the sympathy, empathy for her patients and her profession. I think she lost the kindness toward the patients. After we explained about the problem and the reason why me and my son were there " frequent hand tremors " she immediately said,"I don't see any tremors", now there was nothing wrong with saying that, it was the way that she said it and the way that she look us. She looked us like we were lying to her. This make us feel really bad, like a layers, even my son stop talking to her, and he is very good in communicating with his doctors. Yes she was right at that time my son was not having a hand tremors like an other occasions but she could said in different way or at least she could be more careful with her body language. As a health care providers, we have to have the time to listen to our patients, demostrate empathy and sympathy. We may not agree with them but we have to remember that we are there to take care of them. If we think that there is nothing wrong with them, let's Investigate firts by doing the assessment, and the necesary test if we think is appropriate. Once we have the results then we could explain to the patients what, those results mean and what is really going on. Finally, as ahe said it before, and according with her it was nothing wrong with my son. She didn't order any further test, which I didn't even ask for if because I don't want her to take care of my son. I honestly I don't trust her because she looks like she does not care about her patients.
Great bedside manner. Felt at ease during a scary time.
Dr. Michelson was spectacular.
