All of NorthShore’s ophthalmologists are board-certified and fellowship-trained to diagnose and treat both general and subspecialty conditions affecting the eyes.
Our team includes surgeons who specialize in the prevention and reduction of vision loss with the use of the latest procedures, including LASIK and PRK. The Department of Ophthalmology employs the use of standard diagnostic tests to accurately identify conditions and causes of vision loss. Our physicians also have access to the most up-to-date equipment used to perform non-invasive and minimally-invasive outpatient procedures including cataract surgery, PRK and intraocular lens replacement.
The Eye and Vision Center’s LASIK Suite within Glenbrook Hospital is a state-of-the-art center containing latest equipment necessary for correcting refractive conditions affecting vision. The LASIK Suite offers an all-laser, blade-free procedure that allows our physicians to perform with the utmost efficiency. Our approach reduces the risk of complications and improves healing time to get patients back to their normal activities with the benefit of improved vision in a short amount of time.
