Julie KlitzkyJulie Klitzky MS, RDN, LDN
Julie Klitzky MS, RDN, LDN works as one of the NorthShore University Health System outpatient dietitians, specializing in gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. Klitzky received her Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics from The University of Wisconsin Madison and earned her Masters of Science in Dietetics and completed her internship at Ball State University. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and has been practicing as an outpatient dietitian since 2007. Klitzky focuses on helping patients improve their quality of life by identifying trigger foods and creating meal plans to reduce or even resolve their GI symptoms. In her spare time she enjoys trying new recipes, skiing, riding roller coasters with her husband and spending time with their 2 sons.


 

Atara SchayerAtara Schayer RDN, LDN
Atara Schayer RDN, LDN has practiced as both an outpatient and inpatient clinical dietitian since 2008 and joined the NorthShore University Health System dietitian team in 2011. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship through the University of Illinois at Chicago Coordinated Nutrition Program. As an intern, Schayer worked at various hospitals and clinics around the Chicagoland area including Swedish Covenant hospital, UIC hospital, Highland Park hospital, Mercy Hospital and La Rabida Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group. Schayer is passionate about helping patients meet their goals for a healthier lifestyle while enjoying the foods they eat. In her spare time, Schayer enjoys spending time with her family and bike riding.


 

Marisa Spiegel RDN, LDNMarisa Spiegel RDN, LDN
Marisa Spiegel RDN, LDN has been with the NorthShore University HealthSystem since 2007 and during her time here has worked as both an outpatient and inpatient clinical dietitian. Spiegel graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, completed a dietetic internship at Hines VA Hospital and has also worked with the government funded nutrition program, WIC. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group.

During her time at NorthShore, Spiegel has worked with a variety of patients across the lifespan. She is passionate about helping individuals improve their health and prevent or treat medical conditions. She assists her patients in making positive diet and lifestyle changes, including improvements in both their eating habits and overall relationship with food. Spiegel represents the NorthShore University HealthSystem at presentations and health fairs in the community and is a member of the bariatric research team. When she is not working, Spiegel enjoys dancing, yoga, attending group fitness classes, cooking, trying new recipes, traveling and spending time with family and friends.


 

Lauren Todorova, MS, RDN, LDNLauren Todorova MS, RDN, LDN
Lauren Todorova MS, RDN, LDN is an outpatient dietitian at Evanston Hospital. She joined the NorthShore University HealthSystem team in 2017, previously working as an inpatient clinical dietitian. Todorova is a member of NorthShore’s Bariatric Surgery team and also provides nutrition counseling at NorthShore Neurological Institute’s Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Clinic. Todorova earned her Bachelors of Science in Food and Nutrition Sciences from Ohio University, her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Wellness with a concentration in Health Education from Benedictine University, and completed her Dietetic Internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Todorova has experience treating patients across the lifespan for a variety of different nutrition problems and has been practicing in various clinical areas since 2013 including general medical, surgical, cardiology, neurology, psychiatric, and long term care settings.

Todorova is a member of the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Weight Management and Nutrition Education for the Public Dietetics Practice Groups. She strives to prevent and treat chronic medical conditions and help clients create a healthy relationship with food. In her spare time, Todorova enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
