A patient shout-out was the last thing NorthShore team member Amber Davis expected when she came into the NorthShore video studio last week.

Davis had been told she was there to explain phlebotomy.

To her surprise, while she was explaining her role as a phlebotomist, Amber was handed—on camera—a “NorthShore Special Delivery” letter from two very grateful patients.

As you’ll see in this video, the Evanston Hospital phlebotomist and Kellogg Cancer Center medical and patient support assistant was praised for her caring work with Devora, the daughter of Sheila Fisher of Wilmette.

Fisher wrote: “Every so often one comes across an exceptional person who needs to be given recognition, as is your knowledgeable, caring and involved phlebotomist Amber Davis.”
