Fresh Recipe: 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Dip

Thursday, March 01, 2018 7:55 AM

The heart of the house during the holidays – and maybe always – is the kitchen. It’s not uncommon for families to gather around, talk and munch on some delicious goodies. Theresa Desai, RD, CDE, Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian at NorthShore, knows that the dessert table is often the favorite. She shares a recipe that is so delicious, no one will know it’s made with Greek yogurt.

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter*
  • 1-3 tbsp of honey, add to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Whip the ingredients together with a spoon or whisk until creamy.
  3. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

*Any creamy nut butter will do.

To keep this treat on the healthy side, serve with apple slices or bananas. To indulge a little, serve with some graham crackers or with chocolate chips.

This is also a great recipe to make with little ones to get their help in the kitchen!
