Although too much exposure to the sun’s rays can be extremely harmful to your skin, sunlight can also be a useful tool in treating certain skin conditions. When targeted at the affected area in a controlled dose, ultraviolet light can temporarily reduce or even cure mild to severe cases of a condition, such as psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo.

Before your first session, one of our specialists will provide a complete consultation and evaluation to determine the best course of treatment, and develop your personalized care plan. During phototherapy, you will be closely monitored to determine the appropriate exposure, and a specialist will increase or decrease the duration of exposure depending on the reaction of skin cells. In most cases, patients will see a dramatic improvement and will undergo regular courses of treatment in our office to remain in remission.

Our phototherapy services include:

  • Narrowband UVB
  • Photodynamic therapy for actinic keratoses
  • Ultraviolet-B (UVB)
