Explained various options, how a proper Orthodics work.
Dr Z was great! Pretty afraid I was going to experience pain! But he used his expertise to take care of things effectively and I barely had any discomfort. He's a "genius" and had great bedside manner listening to my concerns and finding the cure! Thank you Dr Z!
What is a wonderful experience as it was my first time meeting doctor Zombolo, though it was not my first visit to this practice.
I already recommended the practice to a friend of mine.
Dr Zombolo took care of my issue very well and discussed potential causes and how to avoid recurrence of the problem
Had a very good 1st visit doctor was excellent and caring
I found this physician arrogant and short. I found things in the notes of my after visit summary that were never discussed with me. My pain was much worse after my visit as I believe he was too aggressive; never experienced this with my former podiatrists. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but I will be looking for another doctor for my follow up.
Dr Zombolo didn't introduce himself to me or read about why I was visiting the office. He just said "how can I help you?". He was to the point, abrasive with his language, gave me my options, and sent me on my way. When he was finished, he just walked out as well. There was no indication that our appointment was over nor did anyone else return to walk me out to the front office.
This was an extremely unfortunate experience for me. The bedside manner was subpar. When Dr. Zombolo entered the room, he didn't even make eye contact with me, or introduce himself. All he said was "what can I do for you today, while sitting with his back to me looking at this computer. I wonder if it's because I got a little emotional with his MA during discovery, which I profusely apologized about immediately after. I've just been in so much pain for so long and it seems like the few doctors I've been to haven't been able to diagnose me properly. Shortly after, Dr. Zombolo entered the room, he suggested I get blood work for a slew of autoimmune diseases without even doing any discovery about where my pain was coming from and what the ACTUAL issue is. I had to talk him off a ledge regarding the potential for having an auto immune disease in order to redirect to a different potential issue I was experiencing. I understand he's a doctor and specializes in this but there was no discovery- and he was getting viscerally frustrated with me- luckily I pointed out that I have multiple plantar warts underneath a callus that has been contributing to the pain that I believe lead to my neuroma. He didn't even look or consider this until I pretty much begged him to find and treat my plantar wart. He reluctantly applied some acid after looking into a magnifying mirror realizing I was right- but never considered this the reason why I have my neuroma in the first place. I've had this for 10 years now and I have not had proper treatment. Which is so sad. I am now realizing that I have a severe mosaic wart and will potentially need surgery in order to remove it. The acid he used to treat my warts has me in such severe pain and absolutely no medication was offered, but maybe that's normal practice? If so, disregard. The worst part Is just how I left leaving the office fearful that I have an auto immune disease. He spoke down to me and although he treated me for what I needed, I had to tell him to do it, It wasn't his Initial suggestion. I will be seeing a different foot doctor- Someone who specializes in helping and treated people with compassion and empathy for the pain they are in. Oh and as I was leaving, the bloody gauze from my extremely contagious wart was still on the floor.
Dr. Zomobolo was thorough, kind and explained everything to me including two options for treatment. I would refer friends and family to him.
