I have seen a few podiatrists over the years and by far, Dr.Zombolo is the BEST!:) He is exemplary when treating the feet of a type 1 diabetic!:) Dr. Zombolo is not only very knowledgeable but also has common sense. I also appreciate his ability to communicate as well as his patience with my " hypervigilance" regarding the taking care of my feet!So THANKFUL to have Dr. Zombolo on my care team!:)
I felt that once Dr. Zombolo saw that my health insurance was State Medicaid he treated me as if he couldn't help me. He even stated that he usually writes prescriptions for sole inserts, but that my insurance wouldn't cover it and that they usually cost $350 and that I couldn't afford it, so I would be better off just buying a pair from Walmart! I was very shocked at his response and and attitude in his voice, as If I didn't matter. When the visit was over I had to ask if the appointment was over because he just started walking out the room. He didn't say the appointment was over, goodbye, nice to meet you, etc. He didn't address if I should schedule a follow up visit, which I thought should was important to have to make sure my feet healed properly from my diagnoses and at home exercises he told me to do. Dr. Zombolo bedside manner was as if my care was unimportant to him. I left the appointment very disappointed and frustrated with his care. I did stop by the front desk and ask if I needed to schedule a follow up appointment and the receptionist went to ask Dr. Zombolo if I needed to schedule a follow up appointment. Dr. Zombolo stated, "No, only if I needed to come back."
Very communicative. Hands on evaluation. Explained x ray. Clarified instructions.
The procedure was painful. I do not know whether or not the toe could have been numbed prior to the procedure, but, If so, that would have helped. Regardless, it would be helpful if the doctor alerted me that "this might hurt" and occasionally said "sorry" and "hang in there" and finally said "almost done." It's fine now, by the way.
Very attentive doc, apologized for a delay while he conferred with the X-ray techs results, which he disagreed with. It may have been a case of semantics, regarding the type of fracture.
I did recommend him to family member!
He was very quick with his procedure & said we should have come to him at the beginning--& he was so right.
As a physician, myself, this doctor was absolutely excellent.
Dr. Zombolo was patient, thorough, professional, and kind.
Already gave Doctors name to a friend. Highly recommend him.
