Anna the interviewer was wonderful, thoughtful and considerate. Both she and Dr K we're the only people I have encountered at North Shore who wanted to know how I was doing emotionally after a mastectomy.

Dr. Khandekar is professional, kind and is really a good person' through and through.. He has guided me through 3 primary cancers, with chemotherapy, radiation, and the many complications that come with these treatments. For almost 24 years I have been blessed with his excellent medical knowledge and his compassion towards me as his patient.He exemplifies the very best of North Shore and I will be forever grateful to have him as my physician, &consider him my friend.

My visit with the physician started with no audio on their part, a nurse who came in to try to fix the situation, then the visit was via video but through a phone call. This isn't that big of a deal because I suppose it happens with telehealth. The problem was the next 5 minutes of the appointment after about 5 or 10 minutes was spent trying to fix audio. The doctor literally said do you have any questions? I asked a few questions, he didn't have the answers and said he would check up on it. This is odd because I specifically ask the genetic counselor this question and it was not relayed to the physician. I believe in total my appointment was less than 5 minutes with the doctor said I think you should have the testing done, let us know when you want it. Nothing further. Rather disappointing seeing that I was charged for an office visit, that I'm sure was not put through as less than 5 minutes in length. I'm not sure if they just figured there was an audio problem, so I should just not have a full length appointment so they stay on schedule or something??? As a provider myself, a nurse practitioner, who also does telehealth, I was a little taken aback.The genetics counselor was thorough, informative, and compassionate. She was unable however to recommend anything, make any interpretations, or give me any advice. None of the discussion seemed to be relayed to the doctor, who again, was short uninformative and unexplanatory.
