Dr. Ward is excellent and a first rate communicator. For selfish reasons, I'm sorry she'll be leaving the practice

I'd recommend Dr. Ward highly, but I know she's leaving her practice to teach. I'm sorry I won't be able to continue with her as my PCP.

Doctor immediately referred me to hand surgeon for major infection on my thumb, under my nail - red, swollen, hot.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Ward. She was wonderfully courteous and thorough. She listened carefully to my concerns, asked probing questions, elicited more information from me and provided nonjudgmental guidance. All of that took time, and I never felt that she was just going down a checklist or hurrying to move on to the next patient.

I was very lucky that the designated "walk-in" visit physician was Dr. Elizabeth Ward. She was outstanding in every dimension! Very warm, caring, empathic, dedicated and reassuring. Despite the fact that this was solely a "walk-in" visit, Dr. Ward was very generous with her time and a great comfort to me, as I was not feeling well due to a UTI. Dr. Ward was very thorough in the check-up, instructions for use of medication, and follow-up recommendations. I expressed my gratitude to her for treating me as a "whole" human being, and for being so kind, compassionate, and supportive. It is important for medical providers to not only address the medical/biological presenting issues of a patient, but as well to understand and acknowledge that they also have a mind and a spirit, which are affected by the ailment they are experiencing. Even under time pressures, Dr. Ward did an astounding job of addressing these components. At a time that I was feeling very sick, Dr. Ward made a HUGE difference for the best, and I am deeply grateful to her for that.

I am extremely disappointed that Dr. Ward is leaving practice. She is an incredible doctor with great insight, is very caring and up to date with latest medical practices. She will be missed by her current patients.
