NorthShore’s Pediatric Neurology program provides family-centered diagnosis and comprehensive care for children with disorders of the brain and nervous system. While closely collaborating with your child’s pediatrician, as well as the Center for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Clinic, our physicians and staff care for children with neurological issues.

In addition, NorthShore’s Division of Pediatric Neurology works closely with our Center for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, who are specially trained in developmental, behavioral and learning issues in children from infancy through young adulthood. When applicable, NorthShore offers teenagers, turning 18, assistance with transitioning into our Neurological Institute through our Young Adult Transition Clinic.
Any school forms or letters should be requested at least one week in advance. For driver’s license forms, most providers will want to see your child within 30 days of completing this form. Please call eight to 12 weeks before the paperwork is due to schedule an appointment.

To schedule an appointment, please call 847.570.2577. Know that clinic appointments require a referral from your child’s pediatrician, and your insurance plan may require paperwork or other authorization for a visit with one of our specialists. Please contact your child’s physician and your insurance provider for more information.
If you are needing to refill a prescription, please plan ahead as it may take up to 48 hours.
Before your appointment, we ask that you fill out and bring with you the new patient intake questionnaire, also available in Spanish.
In addition, please have your primary care physician send relevant laboratory results and notes. If another pediatric neurologist has seen your child previously, a copy of the consultation notes, lab results and prior evaluations, including disc and written copies of EEGS, MRIs and CT scans, are also requested for review. You can access your NorthShore medical records immediately through NorthShoreConnect.
