When it comes to the health of your child, we know that ease in planning a scheduled visit in advance or a last minute appointment is invaluable. At NorthShore, we provide convenient, close care for all your child’s needs so he or she can live a happy, healthy life. From immunizations to prescriptions, our pediatricians are available to assist you in keeping your child well.
By finding a pediatrician who will best match your family’s individual needs, you will be able to keep your child on track for standard and school-required physicals. You can manage your child's health from home through NorthShoreConnect proxy access, allowing you to view your child's medical record, email his or her physician and schedule appointments.
As your child grows and develops, it is important to schedule regular well child visits. These visits will not only allow your child’s pediatrician to check for good health but also for behavioral issues, nutritional deficiencies, childhood obesity and developmental delays. These physicals are recommended for the following ages:
- Newborn (within one week from birth)
- One month
- Two months
- Four months
- Six months
- Nine months
- 12 months
- 15 months
- 18 months
- Two years
- Annually after two years
Schedule required physicals for:
- Kindergarten (four - five years)
- 6th grade
- High school
- Sports physicals
- Camp physicals
- Physical prior to surgery
Bring all necessary forms (school, camp, sports, etc.) with you at the time of your child's physical so they can be completed at the time of the exam.
Accessible Care
At NorthShore, our pediatric offices offer extended hours in the early morning and late afternoon, along with weekend hours, for your convenience. We also offer walk-in hours, making our pediatric team available for when you need to visit for an illness or injury. We understand that the sooner your child is able to be seen, the sooner he or she is able to begin recovering.

Please note: Children under the age of 17 cannot consent to treatment or vaccines themselves unless it falls under a condition that emancipates the minor, such as pregnancy or an STI. Please contact your physician’s office if a parent/guardian cannot accompany the child on a visit.
