NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center has dedicated staff that can help patients with a variety of financial issues that they may encounter, including:
- Helping patients understand their insurance coverage and medical bills
- Working with insurance companies for treatment prior-authorization
- When necessary, identifying alternate means of payment for treatment, including working directly with other organizations and foundations to obtain medications at a reduced cost
- Working closely with NorthShore University HealthSystem's financial counselors
