The NorthShore Administrative Fellow Program is a one year experience that extends from July through June. The program is designed to ensure practical experience in all facets of healthcare management for the Fellow. The Fellow will work closely with senior management on broad based project assignments in support of strategic initiatives and our common mission. Every effort is made to expose the Fellow to the external environment and how the environment shapes the decisions that senior management make in setting strategic direction for the organization. If successful, the Fellow will develop leadership and management skills through direct participation in management activities.
NorthShore also has an Administrative Summer Internship Program which is a 12-week program that provides aspiring healthcare leaders with an experiential learning experience and exposure to healthcare administration including exposure to organizational operations, decision-making and other daily activities of a health system from the perspective of senior management. Interns will incorporate the academic training they receive during their first year of the master's program with practical applications within NorthShore.
The qualified candidate is required to possess a Masters in Health Administration or equivalent from an accredited university.
Additionally, the candidate should have the following key competencies: customer focus, project management, alliance building, results-orientation, change management, interpersonal savvy, communication, problem solving, organization and planning, strong work ethic, initiative, desire to learn and curiosity.
