I believe that a good understanding of a patient's goals is critical to successful treatment. Evidence based medicine, best practices, and experience will guide our treatment strategy. With those factors in mind, we will achieve effective solutions to our patient's ophthalmic plastic surgical concerns. Two quotes that encapsulate my personal philosophy of life: “Be the best you can be. Dr. Phelps pleasant attitude made for a very comfortable experience.
Show knowledge, awareness of my wishes and willing to give and repeat information. He gave me full, clear info and repeatedly asked if I understood. Dr. Phelps was clear, to the point and made me feel comfortable about my upcoming procedure.
Great Doctor! I wish all doctors were as attentive and caring as Dr. Phelps!
I'd refer them to everyone.
Very good explanation of healing and after care. Dr Phelps is always very attentive to my needs, spends time to provide detailed explanation. Very friendly.

I really felt *Dr. Phelps cared about me and my individual concerns.
I have this problem for years and Dr Phelps fixed it! he is outstanding
Dr. Phelps is wonderful. He is always cheerful and engaging and professional. I feel he totally cares about my well-being and quality of life. A few months ago, a place on my face next to my eye required a MOHS procedure by another surgeon. The restorative surgery was done by Dr. Phelps. It was difficult finding a day when both surgeons were available. It appeared that the only time available would require that I either cancel a trip to Europe or miss an important event where my husband was being honored. Dr. Phelps said no. He said the reason we're doing this procedure is to extend your life and improve your quality of life, so you can participate in important life events like these. We will find a time that allows you to do that. They did find another time, and I was able to participate in both events. Now the procedure is behind me, and the cancer on my face is gone. They did such a good job that you can't even tell where the cancer was. I am so grateful to Dr. Phelps, and I hope he was happy with his time in the New York City Marathon! What a good role model he is for his patients! I'm going to NYC the same weekend for the birth of my first grandchild!! Thank you to Dr. Phelps for being a kind, sensitive, incredibly competent doctor.
