Doctor could not provide any diagnosis for my pain. Prescribed a topical anti-inflammatory as I cannot take an oral. Stated I should go to an acupuncturist as a possible relief of my pain. Told him I was in hmo and would need a referral. He stated I would need to find someone outside North Shore and pay out of pocket. Told him I prefer following a traditional medicine route. His only suggestion was to use this topical anti-inflammatory. After visit summary did not include any information except for prescription.
I see *Dr. Beckerman every 3 months. He is always kind, attentive and easy to talk to. I would happily and confidently recommend him to family and friends.
Doctor didn't look at my chart on the computer at all (I've never had a doctor do this, especially at North Shore where doctors are always thorough), and doctor proceeded to prescribe me a medication that I later found out is contraindicated by several of my medical conditions and current medications. Definitely going to look into a much less dismissive and much more attentive specialist for my next visit.
caring, knowledgeable and efficient. Recognized the medical issue and provided treatment which has helped tremendously.
I have never met Dr Beckerman. I see the pharmacoligst only. Dr. Beckerman only signs my prescription refill that the Pharmacologist brings me at the end of the visit.
Provides the caring professional medical care I want with an interest in my healing
I have NEVER been treated as an "equal" in my medical decisions/treatment until this wonderful, compassionate man who saw me as a PERSON not just a patient. #10. Don't want to share this genius!
Doctor was too much in a hurry to leave the room. The first thing out of his mouth was that he did not prescribe opioids which I have been on for years due to my chronic pain from my car accident. I have tried most other pain meds from different pain specialists throughout the years that did not work.
