Dr Kamaljit Singh is dual certified in both Pathology/Microbiology and Medicine/Infectious Diseases. He is currently Director, Microbiology Fellowship Program and Director of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Research at NorthShore University HealthSystem. His clinical interests blend both his expertise in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases and include Travel and Tropical Infections, Parasitology, Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship. His current research interests include the clinical use of novel technologies for rapid identification of microbes and antibiotic susceptibility testing, improving diagnosis of infections and use of antibiotics and promoting better infection prevention measures to limit the spread of multidrug resistant pathogens in hospitals.
