Dr. Joanna Horwitz could triple medal in the bed-side-manner olympics. Seriously. She is just the best. I left that office feeling seen and heard and validated - it was better than any therapy session I've ever had. She is a true jewel. And she didn't shame me for being grossly behind on tests and self care - quite the opposite, she validated my anxiety and reasons which motivated me to immediatley get blood work done, I got a mammogram 2 days later and booked a colonoscopy. So grateful to her.
Outstanding help. Excellent patient education
Very happy to have this new doctor. I very much liked and was impressed by Dr. Horwitz. Great sense of humor, knowledgable, plain-speaking and relatable. Made It easy to talk abuot sensitive topics.
Throughout the entirety of my very scary ectopic pregnancy, Dr. Horwitz (& Dr. Yeager) and their team of nurses provided the most amazing care. Everyone was kind and sensitive. Everything was explained clearly to me and I was comfortable asking them questions. Information was communicated to me throughout the entire process. They made me feel safe during a time of uncertainty.
Very patient, helpful and caring
Dr. Horwitz is an incredible doctor, very knowledgeable, professional and kind.
I never feel like my concerns are crazy. The doctor always explains clear in detail why my body might be responding the way that it is and she addresses anything that might actually be concerning with the same clear and detailed explanations. By the time I leave her office, I feel like I am well taken care off.
She was very caring and was very supportive about my goals.
Dr J Horwitz is exceptional in her career! Every time I leave her office I feel appreciated and well informed. I've been a patient of hers for years. I've left for college and still made my way to her office in Niles. True genuine concern and care is what makes for a great doctor, and an amazing person! Please assure Dr Horwitz she is doing an amazing job! NorthShore is well represented with her.
I don't see any questions about after the visit follow up. I got my test results for four tests run and one was flagged as abnormal. I waited two days, then contacted the care team asking them if they could have the doctor look at this test sooner rather than later. I got a response back a few days later apologizing for the delay in response and asking me to be patient. A week later I emailed again. This time I got no response. It has now been 16 days since I received an flagged abnormal test result which I have no clue as to how to interpret and I have had NOTHING from Dr. Horwitz. Abnormal test results make everyone anxious. How is a wait time of 16 days and counting okay for an anxious patient??
