*Dr. Hirsch is very friendly & compassionate!
Previously, Dr. Hirsch recommended that my husband and I do an expanded genetic panel. It turned out that the test was done through Counsyl/Myriad. Just recently, we found out that the test is not FDA-approved. We are also having difficulties relating to billing with Counsyl/Myriad, in which my husband is being told he owes anywhere from $250 to $4000 for his test. Counsyl/Myriad appears to have a history of a lack of transparency when it comes to billing and communication with patients. I am very disappointed that NorthShore would conduct such important testing via a questionable company whose test is not even FDA-approved.
Doctor Hirsch is a wonderful doctor who cares for his patients with a professional and friendly manner. He takes the time to ask how I am and not rush me with my many questions
I'm in fond of Dr. Hirsch. He has great patient-doctor manners. He's a good listener. He is calm and optimistic, which are great values to a first-time expecting mom!
Very matter a fact and considerate in his language. We liked that and found it helpful (e.g. some people would call my pregnancy geriatric, he explained how he didn't think that was useful). I also like that he was matter of fact - answered our questions about meds and gave his professional view; offered us options that addressed our concerns and would be safer for the baby (e.g panorama instead of amniocentesis)
I am very grateful for my amazing Dr. Emmet Hirsch. Thank you for your good heart and showing how much you care about your patients.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Hirsch and he was great, he spent a lot of time with me and went over everything I was concerned about and gave me information on this I should look into prior to my next appointment.
Dr Hirsch is always competent and attentive. I'm lucky to be in his care.
Extremely professional yet kind and helpful!
