What I hope to do with each patient is to listen: listen to his words, listen to what his body is saying through symptom, and listen to his spirit - what comes through beyond the words and symptoms. Then I use all my knowledge, expertise and experience to solve the patient's problem. I apply to each patient a plan unique to his or her situation. Finally, I want the patient to understand his problem, the plan and his role in that plan. Relief of suffering, creative problem-solving and patient education are what I hope to provide.
My deepest interest is a continual quiet exploration of the presence of God in our lives and how to best live that out. I have a brother who is disabled, and I try to learn from him the ability to be truly present to others, as he is unabashed in his affection toward those around him. I love art, nature, sports, music, the past-time of philosophizing and wondering on life, solving the world's problems, laughing and singing as much as possible. Having written one book and several articles, I would like to write more and include poetry. I have often felt the urge to get more involded in government and politics.

Dr. Hurly is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I've seen. He listens and explains conditions very methodical!
My recommendation will depend upon Dr. Hurley's ability to diagnose the sources of my pain and provide relief therefrom.
I have seen DR HURLEY FOR OVER 15 YEARS, HE IS THE BEST !!!!
I would not go to anyone other than Dr. Hurley. He's wonderful! Always friendly, always explains any procedure completely, never hurts me.
I was interviewed by Dr. Hurley's resident, Dr Br----. Her name escapes me. She was an excellent listener. I thought her questions cogent & she was excellent at explaing conditions & follow up to me. Neither she not Dr Hurley used hand cleaner. Neither mentioned that my pacemaker would interfer with an MRI and I forgot it as well at the time. Perhaps I am wrong about that. I would have wished Dr Hurley sat when he spoke with me or explained why he paced.
*Dr. Hurley is very very good at explaining the problem or anything else.
I appreciate the Doctor, take the time to explain, my test results.
Dr. Hurley is an excellent Doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and he's very kind. He's one of the best doctors I have seen.
