What I hope to do with each patient is to listen: listen to his words, listen to what his body is saying through symptom, and listen to his spirit - what comes through beyond the words and symptoms. Then I use all my knowledge, expertise and experience to solve the patient's problem. I apply to each patient a plan unique to his or her situation. Finally, I want the patient to understand his problem, the plan and his role in that plan. Relief of suffering, creative problem-solving and patient education are what I hope to provide.
My deepest interest is a continual quiet exploration of the presence of God in our lives and how to best live that out. I have a brother who is disabled, and I try to learn from him the ability to be truly present to others, as he is unabashed in his affection toward those around him. I love art, nature, sports, music, the past-time of philosophizing and wondering on life, solving the world's problems, laughing and singing as much as possible. Having written one book and several articles, I would like to write more and include poetry. I have often felt the urge to get more involded in government and politics.

*Dr. Hurley took a lot of time to explain my legs problems and how to improve.
Dr Hurley was very clear in discussion of my condition and the various alternatives for future treatment and suggestions for follow up.
Daniel Hurley is an outstanding physician from all perspectives!
I have been seeing Dr. Hurley for a number of years for cervical/spinal issues related to my arthritis. Because arthritis is one of those "things" that have limited the physical activities I used to love--Particularly dancing and choreographing as well as performing in shows--his compassion and knowledge have done much to much to help me adapt my lifestyle to continue to be as physically active as possible.
he could not have been more concerned with my problems.....i am fortunate to have him there
I was very impressed!
I was impressed with the amount of time he spent with me
Dr. Hurley is very thorough... He is a great doctor who seems to care about his patients.
I have said in previous comments that I find Dr Hurley to be the "Ideal" of how a physician can best interact and treat people. He's confident not arrogant, informative and inclusive not autocratic, compassionate and respectful not patronizing. Most important, he LISTENS, really listens, HEARS what you have to say, considers your opinion as important as his own when it's supported and he is willing to try something new or different.
