First physical with *Dr. G. Very thorough, easy to talk to, listens and engages well.
all was great but still waiting for a response from my message sent through Northshore connect to go over labs results that showed out of range. I requested a call to review and if I should do anything or take anything for out of range results
That visit with *Dr. Giorgetti. Very impressive.
very nice and easy process.
She did not listen to my concerns about my ailment.
I went in with a very high fever and one inflamed tonsil covered completely in puss. I had never seen this doctor before, but I wanted a next day appointment, and I chose to book through Connect instead of doing walk in hours. I appreciate being swabbed for Strep, but the doctor basically just told me that the rapid results were negative so it was probably viral (just a sore throat). She also noticed that I had tonsillitis back in 2016 and was basically reading those notes to diagnose my current situation. I told her that I had three small children (one baby) and was a teacher, so she prescribed a z pack just in case. However, she basically told me to wait it out to get better. The next day, the puss was uncontrollable and I messaged her to make sure this was normal (including photos). I expected a faster reaction from the z pack/some sort of improvement. I messaged on Friday afternoon, but she did not reply until Monday (the last day of my z pack). By that point, I took it upon myself to actually scrape my tonsil with a toothbrush to remove puss just so that I could breathe. I could not even eat for 4 days. When she finally responded, all she said was, "Is it better now?" She never addressed any of my original questions. I told her it was not, and I described all the changes that now included inflammation on the other tonsil. Normally, my children's pediatrician or my specialists would give some sort of advice (this is normal/this should not be progressing like this, etc...). She just listed out things to look for to go to the ER or told me if I didn't feel better I should follow up with someone. I went to a DIFFERENT doctor the day after her response. He told me that what I had was a type of bacteria (not viral) and that it was probably a false negative for strep. He prescribed an antibiotic that is now working after only 24 hours, and he listened to my actual concerns. He also told me that he may have prescribed a z pack originally, but he also would have run all tests to determine the cause. He knew by looking at the puss that it was bacterial instead of viral. I felt like I was speaking to an educated person who truly cared.
Dr. G was very easy to talk to and was very compassionate
She was great.
it was an excellent service
Doctor I saw was very enjoyable to interact with. Her joyfulness offset any frustration I had abut the web error I made.
