This is a two hour one time seminar taught by licensed Physical Therapists specializing in Women's Health and Perinatal care. The many physical changes in a woman's body during pregnancy can present special challenges, making it difficult or even painful to perform pre-pregnancy activities. Some of these may include: • Determining how to exercise safely and appropriately • Upper and lower back pain • hip pain, pelvic pain This seminar will teach you the general concepts of muscular and skeletal changes during pregnancy. It will include education on how to exercise safely, injury prevention and proper body mechanics during pregnancy and after delivery. This seminar seeks to provide the latest research on perinatal exercise and will teach beneficial exercises that can be performed during pregnancy and in the postpartum.

Most beneficial for expectant mothers during second and third trimester of pregnancy. Please wear comfortable clothing for participation in gentle exercises. Feel free to bring along a beach towel or yoga mat and water. Partners not required to attend.
