NorthShore-Mayo Traumatic Brain Injury Symposium Topics will cover acute concussion presentation and pathophysiology, contributors to prolonged recovery, a review of helmet research and technology, a look at translational TBI research from NorthShore’s TBI lab, and discussion about the long-term risks of traumatic brain injury including a discussion of neurodegenerative disease and CTE. Presenters include specialists from the NorthShore concussion team as well PMR, pathology, and PhD biomedical engineer and research scientist. Featuring Keynote speaker from Mayo Rochester: Dr. Rodolfo Savica who will speak on “Concussion and the Risk of Parkinson Disease and Neurodegenerative Diseases”
