Validation of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and Noninvasive Neuroimaging Markers in Early Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease in an African American Population
Aim: The proposed study will validate the use of a cognitive screening assessment, known as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment tool (MoCA) to differentiate normal cognition from mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a diagnosis associated with increased risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

High Resolution Quantitative Magnetization Transfer Imaging in Entorhinal Cortex
Aims:
The purpose of this study is to establish the MRI parameters that will be used in a subsequent study to improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease and to measure the memory, neurological function and MR derived measurement of healthy volunteers and establish a set of normal baseline values against which the test results of Alzheimer’s subjects can be compared.
