Pediatric Head and Neck Surgery

Our Pediatric Head and Neck Surgery program involves diagnostic, medical and surgical management of congenital and acquired lesions in the head and neck region. Following referral from your child’s physician, our team of specialists will provide patient education, diagnosis and individualized treatment for your child.

Conditions treated include:

  • Benign and malignant (cancerous) tumors of the head and neck in children, including thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer
  • Congenital neck masses, such as branchial anomalies, thyroglossal duct cysts and vascular malformations (lymphagiomas and hemangiomas)

Diagnosis and Treatment

Following diagnosis, our specialists will involve parents in every step of determining a course of treatment, either medical or surgical. Through our system of electronic medical records, your child’s pediatrician will also have access to all updates and the status of your child’s care.

While early intervention is recommended in most cases, the age of your child, along with any other medical conditions or concerns, will be taken into consideration. Our aim is to partner with you and your child to help you make a well informed decision regarding your child’s care.
