During the program participants will use a variety of exercise equipment designed to improve endurance, strength, flexibility and overall energy level. The exercise program is individualized and increased according to each person’s tolerance and is supervised by specially trained nurses and exercise physiologists.
Education and Counseling
Each participant will consult with a cardiac rehabilitation staff member initially to assess cardiac risk factors and to set goals for the program. Education sessions are provided regularly on topics related to risk factor modification, cardiovascular disease and healthy lifestyle change. Patient progress and goals are assessed at regular intervals. Follow up and communication with patients and their physician assist them in making healthy lifestyle changes.
