My doctor is fine and she does her job well. It's the scheduling of appts, timing and locations that are the issue. I called 3 months in advance of my 1 year physical and I got a apmt 8 months out. I used to see Dr. Malik at the Highland Park hospital then she moved to Shermer road and I had to drive out of my way to see her. Then labs starting being done at different locations and appts are so far out. Patients spend more time planning and traveling to these appts than the actual Dr. Visits! Something needs to change!

Dr. Malik is a wonderful doctor, I am fortunate to have her as my PCP.

She seemed to have lost her warmth and caring attitude. She made sure to tell me at the start that this annual wellness visit was not the time to ask questions. I believe, in fact, it's exactly the time to ask questions. I felt rushed but got my questions in, anyway. She was in and out of my appointment in twenty minutes, which was ten minutes less than the allotted time. The upshot is that I had to follow up with her online regarding things she neglected to notice. I hope I didn't miss anything, which is sad because I'm not the one who should be keeping track. She's the one who should know what's going on, and now I've lost a measure of confidence in her.
