The Division of Vascular Surgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem offers high quality comprehensive vascular care to patients and provides consultative services with our expert physicians.
We treat the full range of vascular-related disease processes including peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery occlusive disease, renovascular hypertension, abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, mesenteric occlusive disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, varicose veins and dialysis access. Our surgeons are also highly skilled in treating vascular trauma and wounds that have a vascular component.
Our vascular surgeons are skilled in both traditional open surgical procedures as well as minimally invasive endovascular procedures such as peripheral angioplasty and stenting, stent graft placement for the treatment of aortic aneurysms and carotid stenting for carotid occlusive disease. The ability to treat an increasing number of vascular disease conditions via endovascular means allows for faster healing and recovery with less time spent in the hospital.
