Registered Dietitians in the Department of Food & Nutrition Services can assist you in improving your eating habits and can tailor them to your medical condition, lifestyle and food preferences. 

Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy

Learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Services include assistance with managing various diseases, food allergies/ intolerances, eating disorders, sports nutrition, weight management, prenatal nutrition, etc.  Services are available for children and adults.

Initial counseling sessions are one-hour with 15 or 30 minute follow-up sessions if determined necessary.  There are some evening and Saturday appointments available. A physician’s referral is necessary for insurance reimbursement, if Medical Nutrition Therapy is a covered by your health insurance, and to provide medical information to allow dietitians to make appropriate nutrition recommendations.
