Looking for Growth? We’ll Help You Meet Your Goals
When you want to take the next step in your career, we will be right there with you. As a nurse at NorthShore, you can enroll in one of the educational and research opportunities through our Department of Nursing Professional Development and Research. If you are considering becoming a nursing professional development practitioner, we have mentorship programs and classes that cover leadership training and presentation and computer skills that will prepare you to teach residency programs and more. To become a nurse preceptor, attend our Preceptor Development Program that includes workshops that will help you develop the skills you need to communicate effectively and implement evidence-based practices in the field.

As a research-driven organization, we also have programs that help practitioners incorporate evidence-based care into their clinical practice through mentorship and guidance from doctorally-prepared nurses and nurse researchers. The grant-funded NorthShore Research Fellowship Program is a great way to expand your knowledge (and even add to) the growing field of evidence-based research, ultimately enabling you to have a big impact on the practice of nursing. Meanwhile, the Quality and Patient Safety Fellows program give you the chance to develop and implement programs meant to enhance the quality of patient care.
