J.P. Gallagher
President,EvanstonHospital

J.P. Gallagher joined the management staff of NorthShore University HealthSystem in 2002, preceded by an Administrative Leadership position at Advocate Christ Medical Center. He began his career at Glenbrook Hospital and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Hospitals & Clinics at Evanston Hospital in 2004. Mr. Gallagher completed his undergraduate work at Princeton University and earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.


Douglas Silverstein

President, Glenbrook Hospital

Douglas M. Silverstein has been with NorthShore University HealthSystem since 1992. Currently he serves as President of Glenbrook Hospital, where he is responsible for the operations, management, strategic planning and program development at Glenbrook Hospital. Mr. Silverstein has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan.


Jesse Peterson Hall
President, Highland Park Hospital

Jesse Peterson Hall serves as President of Highland Park Hospital.  He graduated from Western Australian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science.  He obtained his Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  He joined the staff of NorthShore University HealthSystem in 2002 as Senior Vice President at Evanston Hospital.  Prior to joining the Corporation, he served in administrative roles at Geisinger Health Systems in Danville, Pennsylvania and Memorial Health Services in Long Beach, California.

 

Kristen Murtos
President,Skokie Hospital

Kristen Murtos has been with NorthShore University HealthSystem since 1998. She began her career at NorthShore serving as Vice President of Medical Group. Currently she serves as President of Skokie Hospital, where she is responsible for the operations, management, strategic planning and program development at Skokie Hospital. In addition to her responsibilities as President at Skokie Hospital, she will oversee Corporate Marketing, Communications and Business Development activities. Mrs. Murtos has a bachelor's degree from University of Illinois and earned master’s degrees in business administration and public policy from the University of Chicago.


Joseph Golbus, MD
President, NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group
Associate Professor of Medicine, Northwestern University Medical School

Joseph Golbus, M.D. joined NorthShore in 1987 as a practicing physician and in 1988 became Head of the Division of Rheumatology.  He has been President of NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group since 1998.  He has served in numerous leadership positions within non-profit and professional organizations, including service as President of the American College of Rheumatology's Research and Education Foundation, Chairman of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and several terms as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Arthritis Foundation and Board of Directors of the American College of Rheumatology.  Dr. Golbus received his Fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Michigan Hospitals (1984-1987); residency training at Evanston Hospital (1981-1984); and his M.D. Degree from the University of Illinois Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine.  Dr. Golbus has received his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  He has received numerous awards and honors, including the National Arthritis Foundation Leadership Award and the 2009 Leader of the Year Award by the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago. He has been consistently named as one of America's "Top Doctors". 


Leopold G. Selker, Ph.D., MBA
President, NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute

Dr. Selker functions as lead corporate executive for research development and administration as well as principal day to day administrator of the NorthShore University HealthSystem - Northwestern University research partnership. Prior to joining the corporation, he served as Dean of the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds numerous degrees including an MBA in executive management from Northwestern University, a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Texas A&M University, a master's diploma in public administration/social policy from the University of Stockholm and a bachelor's degree from Canisius College.


Colleen Durbin Mitchell
President, NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation

Colleen Durbin Mitchell was appointed President of the NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation in August 2007. She has a combined 25 years experience in management, philanthropy and business marketing. Prior to joining the NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation, Ms. Mitchell was Vice President of Marketing for the America’s Sales Division of Denmark-based electronics firm GN Store Nord. Her philanthropic experience includes Executive Director, then President, of the Whirlpool Foundation; Public Affairs and Corporate Giving Manager for IMCERA Group, Inc.; and Executive Director of IMCERA Group’s IMC Foundation. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
