How the Process Works

Every opportunity is a little different, but here is a general overview of the recruiting process, along with answers to frequently asked questions.

Phone Interview
If an applicant’s education, background and training match a current opportunity, we schedule a brief 20-30 minute phone interview with a member of our recruiting staff. In the interview, we review the position description and responsibilities and discuss the candidate’s background and qualifications.

Group Screening
The recruiter presents candidates who appear to be a good match to the team leading the search for that position. That team usually consists of the department chair, a lead physician and an administrator. The group reviews the submitted candidates and decides whom they would like to interview.

Interview
Selected candidates are invited to NorthShore to meet our team. The day includes one-on-one interviews with physician leaders, informal “meet and greet” sessions, a tour of the practice, and a community/real estate tour if desired.

Offer Letter
After the interviews, the recruiter collects feedback from the group. Candidates who are invited to join are sent an offer letter which outlines the terms including salary, location, basic schedule and responsibilities.

Acceptance
Our recruiter then works with the candidate to answer any questions and discuss the terms of the offer. When an agreement is reached, the candidate signs and returns the completed offer letter.

Contract
Once the signed offer is returned, a contract is drawn up and sent to the candidate. When the signed contract is returned, our onboarding department will follow up with the newly hired physician to make sure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed to ensure a smooth transition into Endeavor Health Medical Group.
