Ray Grady Retires from NorthShore University HealthSystem; J.P. Gallagher Named President of Evanston Hospital

7/25/2008 – NorthShore University HealthSystem (formerly ENH) announced today the retirement of Ray Grady who has served with distinction at NorthShore University HealthSystem for nearly 30 years. Mr. Grady’s current role is President and CEO of Evanston Hospital, and President of the Hospitals & Clinics Division.  

Grady first came to work at Evanston Hospital in 1979 as an Assistant Vice President, and has successfully progressed throughout his career with increasing levels of responsibility at NorthShore University HealthSystem. He has agreed to stay onboard to assist with an orderly transition until the end of the calendar year.

Effective October 1, 2008, Mr. J.P. Gallagher will be promoted from Senior Vice President to President of Evanston Hospital.  Mr. Gallagher joined the management staff in 2002, preceded by an Administrative Leadership position at Advocate Christ Hospital.  He began his career at Glenbrook Hospital, and was promoted to his present position at Evanston Hospital in 2004.  Gallagher completed his undergraduate work at Princeton University and graduate MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
