Historic Advancement for Community-Connected Healthcare
New multimillion dollar community investment funds will support health equity, well-being and local economic growth.

NorthShore University HealthSystem and Edward-Elmhurst Health have announced exciting plans to merge and create a new regional system focused on expanded access to expert, locally focused care. Building on a legacy of commitment to communities, both organizations also have launched new community investment funds, each with initial commitments of $100 million. These funds will generate millions of dollars in annual interest to directly support partnerships with organizations to enhance health equity, well-being and advance local economic growth.

Combined, NorthShore and Edward-Elmhurst Health have delivered more than two billion dollars in the last five years to service area communities with charity care, subsidized health services, local health and wellness initiatives and educational programs. Our community investment funds will build on these strong commitments and provide even more engagement opportunities.
