Personal Bio
Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Robin is the Director of Cardio Oncology. He has 15 years of experience in treating cardiac complications which can occur with chemo or immunotherapy, tumor directed therapy and radiation. His interest in Oncology goes back 25 years as a basic science researcher under Dr. Azra Raza at Rush. His passion for the two fields continued to grow during his training where he was a Chief Resident and Fellow at Northwestern. He has established a novel screening protocol which integrates both advanced cardiac imaging & biomarkers to diagnose cardiotoxicity at its most reversible stage. He has published on cardiac complications associated with Myeloma, Leukemia, Amyloid & Breast cancer. He is an integral part of the structural heart team. Dr. Robin believes in providing state of the art care while focusing on the patient as a whole. He enjoys teaching and is director of the Cardiology rotation for the University of Chicago residents. His father, Erwin, is an oncologist at North Shore.
