Pneumonia can be caused viruses, bacteria and fungi. In adults, bacteria is the most common cause, and tend to be the most serious. The results of a blood culture helps determine what kind of bacteria is the cause and which antibiotic is appropriate.

Our goal is to be in the top 10% percent of hospitals nationwide. We have multi-disciplinary teams actively working to improve our performance in this area and others.
