Division of Rheumatology

The Division of Rheumatology offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of arthritis, autoimmune disease, osteoporosis and various musculoskeletal disorders at locations throughout the North Shore.

Rheumatology Specialties

In addition to second opinions for surgery related to musculoskeletal problems and joint aspiration and injections, our board-certified rheumatologists specialize in the following services:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Lupus
  • Gout
  • Psoriatic arthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis

Our rheumatology department oversees clinical trials which investigate new treatments for various arthritic conditions. Participation in clinical trials can allow patients access to new drug therapies before they are available to the general public. We are currently participating in clinical research studies in osteoarthritis, gout and rheumatoid arthritis.

Our team offers water-based exercise classes for patients with arthritis at the Park Center in Glenview 847.657.3530, and the Highland Park Hospital Health and Fitness Center in Buffalo Grove 847.419.7150. Additionally, we participate in a variety of community screenings and educational events throughout the year. Please visit our online calendar for more information.
