Bruce W. SteinertDr. Bruce Steinert is the Administrative Director of the NorthShore University HealthSystem Clinical Trials Center (CTC) for the NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute.  Dr. Steinert received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and doctoral degree in Pathology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1979 and 1985, respectively.  He subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship in radiation oncology research at Wayne State University in Detroit from 1985 to 1988.

As Administrative Director of the NorthShore University HealthSystem CTC, Dr. Steinert oversees day to day operations of the Center.  The NorthShore University HealthSystem CTC provides administrative and operational support for clinical investigators. This often involves preparatory work such as budget development, preparation of applications to the Institutional Review Board or other oversight committees and management of regulatory documents.  The NorthShore University HealthSystem CTC maintains space for the storage of documents, study supplies and research specimens (refrigerated or frozen).  In addition, the NorthShore University HealthSystem CTC plays a role in the development of new physician-investigators through a mentoring program with its Medical Director.
